Meet the GCAGS Field Trip Co-Chairs

Julia Smith Wellner is Professor of Earth Science at University of Houston. Her husband, Dr. Robert Wellner, is a senior geoscientist at ExxonMobil.  He is an expert in sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology and field work.  Julia Wellner studies Antarctic geology. Together, they are putting together the Field Trip Roster for the GCAGS 2015 Houston convention. Faculty from University of Houston and Rice University, along with leaders from within industry, will bring stimulating research and expert field knowledge to the program.

Field Trips will be on the weekend BEFORE the GCAGS Convention.

The goal will be to have GCAGS field trips return to the George R. Brown Convention Center on Sunday, September 20,  in time for the Exhibition Icebreaker in the evening.

Details of where the trips will pick up participants and times are not available yet.  Registration for GCAGS field trips will be available in August 2015.
